Mt Kilimanjaro Climbing
Day 01 Springlands Hotel, Moshi:
You will be met and transferred to Springlands Hotel in Moshi, where you will spend the evening before departing for your climb tomorrow. Before you go to bed, you will be briefed about your impending climb.
Day 02 Shira:
Early in the morning you will be transferred to Londrossi Park Gate where you will begin your ascent. Today is a tough day of climbing. You will climb all the way up to Shira Plateau, which is at an altitude of 3,658m. This takes you through the cultivation zone, the forest and into the Moorland. You will stay at he Shira Plateau Campsite, where diner will be prepared for you before your evening's rest.
Day 03 Plats Cone:
Today's climbing is not very high, but is quite technical taking you up to Plats Cone (3,962mm). The evening will be spent in a campsite on the ridge and dinner is prepared for you before your rest.
Day 04 Arrow Glacier:
After breakfast you will continue east towards Kibo passing the junction. From here you will veer southeast towards the lava tower known as Sharks Tooth. Shortly after the tower, you cross a second and continue up to the Arrow Glacier (4,877m). Here you will rest in the campsite before tomorrow's ascent to the peak. Meals and accommodation at the campsite.
Day 05 Summit Day: Uhuru Peak, Mweka Escarpment.
Early in the morning, you will begin you climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to watch the sun rise. After reaching the peak, you will descend back down to the Mweka Escarpment where you will spend the evening. Meals and accommodation at the campsite.
Day 06 Final Descent:
After breakfast you will continue your descent down to the
Mweka Park Gate, where you will collect your certificate and be transferred back to Springlands Hotel in Moshi for a well deserved rest. Dinner is provided. Meals and accommodation at the campsite.
Day 07 Back Home:
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your journey back home.
